Classes are filling up fast! In order to guarantee your spot in any class you must pay in advance. At that time you will be given a list of materials. If you cancel a class with less than 24 hours notice, your fee is forfeited. Please arrive 30 minutes PRIOR to class time, if you intend to purchase supplies.

Drilling
In this class you will learn how to drill through stones and sea glass. Make your own pendants from things you have collected. Shells or stones from your last vacation would make great additions to your mixed media jewelry pieces.

Textured Ring
This class is the second in a series of basic metalsmithing techniques. In this class we will learn how to texture silver with a hammer and other implements, solder a wide seam, basic wire forming with pliers, and soldering different metals together. We will be practicing skills already learned in the first class, such as sawing, filing, and polishing.

Open Studio Soldering
This is a chance for you to catch up and practice your metal working skills. We will have tools and equipment set up for you to use, and I will be available to offer you some guidance and memory refreshers. (We all need those once in a while!) Space is limited, so sign up soon. $5/hour. Does not include metal, but GOB will have some for you to purchase if needed.

Copper Class
In this two part class, you will create, fire and polish five or more pieces using Copper Art Clay. This new product can be torch fired and costs 25% less than silver clay. This is a beginning class designed for both those new to metal clay and experienced silver clay artisans. Copper clay requires a few different techniques from other metal clays. When you leave you will have pieces ready to turn into your own custom jewelry pieces. All materials are provided.

Foxtail Bracelet
Learn how to make a beautiful chain out of fused rings that are suitable for bracelets, necklaces and earrings. In this class you will learn how to manipulate the fused rings to make links in a bracelet. Then we will slip a pearl into each link for an elegant look.

½ Vine Link
Using 16 gauge wire you will create a bracelet of interlocking swirls finished with a classic swan clasp. Art or gemstone beads can easily be incorporated into the design. Wire working experience is a must and experience with heavy gauge wire is recommended.

Intro. Art Clay
Students will learn all about Art Clay and how to use it to create incredible focal pieces. Learn how to make your own molds, use texture sheets, cutting, gemstone setting, dry finishing, torch firing, and patinas in this one day class. In class you make one large pendant, one small pendant, as well as a great pair of earrings!
